What is Reiki?
Reiki is a natural healing method of drawing concentrated life force energy and focusing it to facilitate the healthy flow of energy through the body with the goal of restoring balance, vibrancy, and health.
The word “Reiki” is Japanese and translates to “Rei” = spirit or sacred and “ki” = Vital Energy. This “Ki” is known as Chi in China, Prana in India, and other names around the world. This vital energy flows through all living things.
How Does Reiki Work?
Reiki works to bring the body, mind, and spirit into balance by stimulating our own natural healing abilities and clearing the blocked emotional and physical elements that lead to illness and disease.
Our bodies are not only bones, muscles, nerves, glands, and organs; we also consist of an energy system that keeps us functioning. This unseen energy is active around us and flowing through us, giving us the energy we need to survive.
As a Reiki Master, I will evaluate the flow of energy throughout your system and work to clear any blockages that may be present, pull out excess energy, and bring in vibrant energy to balance your entire system.
Do I Have Blocked Energy?
When you feel healthy and full of enthusiasm, the flow of energy in your body- your vibrational level – is high and unencumbered. Life seems easier to deal with and you have a higher resistance to illness and disease.
However, when your energy is low, maybe because you are under stress or feeling unhappy and tired, you will be more susceptible to disease and sickness. Your attitude will be generally negative and you may find it difficult to deal with life’s challenges.
Your energy can get blocked from things that happened to you in your life, inherited trauma, or underdeveloped chakras from your childhood or teen years.
How Many Sessions Will It Take?
Typically the longer you have had the symptoms, the more sessions it will take to resolve them, for most people a range of 4-12 sessions is needed to achieve the results they desire. However, it is not unheard of to have a single session be all that is needed.
After your initial session, we will evaluate how your body responds, and then, if necessary, I will create a personalized treatment plan to get you to your goal of feeling good again. I always recommend the number of sessions that I believe will get the results that you want.
